As the result of an enquiry from a client, we have examined the Boutique Hotel
sector in Vietnam and determined that there is scope for a professional group
to offer such a product in key cities, such as:

Hue Villas
Outstanding location (the best that Hue has to offer)

There is no better location in Hue.  Currently, there are French Villas on the
site, which have to be kept but could be renovated/refurbished and converted
into suites for long-stay guests/expats.  The site is large and additional villas
built in ‘mock’ French style could be built, making for an all-suite or Boutique
property.  The complication with this project is that it is ‘on hold’ because of
recent objections by local residents to an approved project by Life Resorts in
a ‘sensitive’ location.  Thus the Peoples Committee is hesitant to discuss or
enter into any new projects until things have settled down.

Hanoi
Excellent locations
There are a number of state-owned hotels in the Center of Hanoi

Nha Trang
Excellent locations

There are a number of opportunities, such as:
•        48 luxury suites/3-star on 13 hectares with exceptional views
•        100 rooms/2-star with excellent pool and tennis court that could be
converted to a 50 suite property.

During our extensive travel throughout Vietnam, we have seen other potential
opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City, Danang and Halong Bay, but we have not
examined these closely.
